Hello League,

I have a very sad announcement to make, regarding the recent passing of a very beloved long time league member.

Michael Kamad passed away on Friday July 12th at the very young age of 94 years old.

Mike was with the CSMS 55+ League for 26 years. He first joined this league in 1997 and never missed a year until his last season that he played with us, which was 2022.

For those on Facebook, you may remember a post I had put up on Sept 6th,2022, celebrating Mike and 2 other players that were all celebrating their 92nd Birthdays that Season. One of my all time favorite League Facebook posts.

I feel very fortunate that I had several opportunities to meet Mike and to get to interact with him while taking our League Photos. These are very special memories for me.

There is going to be a service this Friday, July 26 @ 10:30 AM at the McInnis & Holloway Funeral Home on Elbow Dr,
5008 Elbow DR SW.
Everyone is asked to wear a Team uniform in Honour of Mike.

In 2022 Mike played on the Tigers,
In 2021 Mike played on the Jays,
In 2019 Mike played on the Dodgers,
In 2018 Mike played on the Jays,
In 2017 Mike played on the Dodgers,

In Michaels first year in the League, 1997, Mike played on the Royals.

Safe to Say Mike probably wore every teams jersey at one point in his 26 years of playing in our League.
